About Our Apparel: We, the Ann Arbor T-shirt Company, take great pride in designing, printing, and embroidering the majority of our products entirely in our Ann Arbor, Michigan factory. Our skilled illustrators and printers have drawn and screen-printed (silk-screened) this design with meticulous care.

Unisex Modern Fit Sizing: Our shirts feature a slightly tapered fit, offering a more streamlined silhouette compared to the boxy, mass-market t-shirts of the past. While most people will wear the same size as their other shirts, you may consider going up a size if you prefer a more relaxed look. The fabric is pre-shrunk, but like any high-cotton product, it may shrink slightly after washing.

Soft and Durable Fabrics: Our shirts are crafted with a ringspun, 30/1 fine jersey knit using 100% USA-grown cotton. This translates to a soft, smooth, and high-thread-count fabric with a tight weave, made from the fuzzy plants cultivated by American farmers. These mid-weight shirts strike a balance between comfort and durability, being slightly lighter than your typical gym class t-shirts but not see-through.

Top-Quality Inks and Equipment: We utilize QCM screen printing inks, manufactured in Pineville, North Carolina. These high-quality, vibrant, and durable inks are highly crack-resistant. While some of our designs feature intentionally faded or cracked effects, our inks always perform as expected by our skilled printers. We use state-of-the-art printing presses and ovens from M&R in Roselle, Illinois to ensure proper ink curing.

Safe and Ethical Manufacturing: QCM, our ink supplier, has been a leader in the industry, becoming phthalate-free over a decade ago. Their inks are also CFC-free and rated as carcinogen-free by the state of California. Additionally, we take pride in providing our workers with fair wages, healthcare, 401(k) matching, and catered meals. The majority of our materials, including the machines and inks, are sourced from within the United States, and our shirts are predominantly made of US-grown cotton.

Our Passion and Purpose: The Ann Arbor T-shirt Company began as a dorm room project between two friends at the University of Michigan. Today, we are composed of approximately 48 artists, screen printers, art technicians, logistics professionals, embroiderers, and support staff, all operating out of Ann Arbor. We love giving people fun and expressive ways to connect with their communities and strike up conversations. From top to bottom, our team is proud of the quality products we create and can't wait to share them with you.
